Central Desert Behavioral Health Hospital is a 64-bed inpatient facility specializing in advanced programming and services for adults (18-64) and geriatric (65+) patients with behavioral health challenges. We provide professional care for individuals of diverse backgrounds experiencing emotional, social, and behavioral needs impacting their daily lives. Our services include advocacy and assistance for acute care related to anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychotic diagnoses, behavioral changes from Alzheimer’s and other dementias, substance abuse, medication management, and various mental health conditions.
Visiting Hours
Based on the daily activities and needs for our patients, visiting hours are:
100 Unit: Tuesday 3:00pm – 4:00pm
200 Unit: Wednesday 3:00pm – 4:00pm
New Telephone Hours: **Everyday**
100 Hall 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
200 Hall 1:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Only two visitor per patient are allowed at any time and no one under the age of 18.
Admissions & Referrals
Central Desert Behavioral Health Hospital accepts admissions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We accept adults (18-64) and geriatric (65+) patients with a mental health diagnosis and functional impairment sufficient enough to warrant the intensity of services provided with a reasonable expectation of improvement.
The clinical staff of Central Desert Behavioral Health Hospital is pleased to offer free confidential assessments to determining the need for behavioral health services. Referrals may be made by physicians, nurses, social workers or others concerned about the welfare of an individual.
